The aquasunlight future aquarium lighting system now sets a new benchmark for the design of aquarium lighting systems. The surrounding aluminum profile blends the shape of the luminaire so it appears to float above the aquarium. The design is clear and modern, but discreet in a way that fits all aquarium styles. The technology is uncompromising: the finest control gear, purpose designed lamps and powder coated aluminum extrusion construction. One cannot wish for more.
The luminaire is available with lamps for fresh or saltwater as twin lamp models.
Metal halide lamps:
The salt water version of the luminaires are equipped with aqualine 10000 13000°K lamps, the freshwater version with the aqualine 5000 daylight lamp. The units are fitted with a patented lamp holder giving positional adjustment from the outside.
Fluorescent tubes:
The saltwater version is supplied with blue fluorescent tubes, the freshwater version with Gro-Lux tubes (2 x 30 watts)
Moonlight:
Long life 15 watt blue lamp. It creates a dim light enabling observation of the aquarium during the night, and enables fish to orientate themselves in the dark aquarium and prevents light shock to sensitive animals.
Control:
The basic equipment of the aquasunlight did not include any control device. The 3 output channels can be controlled with standard timers. This model is supplied with a integrated Light Computer. With this computer, the two main channels (metal halide and fluorescent lamps) and the moonlight can be precisely controlled: the moonlight intensity varies according to the diurnal cycle of the moon - a perfect simulation.
Reflectors:
The units are equipped with high quality, wide beam reflectors. The whole underside of the unit is covered with reflector plates, ensuring a sparkling lighting effect in the aquarium
