Frogbit grows profusely throughout Spring, Summer and Autumn forming large mats of connected rhizomes as can be seen in the pictures. In late summer it will produce stunning small white flowers.

During winter the rhizomes sink to the bottom of the pond, overwintering until the following Spring when they rise back to the surface to continue growing.

Provides essential Summer shade for pond life and helps combat algae and greenwater by utilising nutrients in the water.
