For sale is a complete marine nano reef of approx 125l. The tank is a Juwel 125 aquarium including stand that has been converted to marine. The tank is fully cycled and is over a year mature. Includes all equipment, livestock, decor and corals, stand and a few tests and meds I have. Sensible offers considered
Equipment included
-125l tank (juwel rio 125 81x50x36cm)
-Stand with cabinet
-Oddeysea uprated T5HO light unit with 4 almost new marine tubes (and 4 replacements) 3 x lagoon blue and 1 x marine pink. The spares are 2 x marine white and 2 x Acinitic blue, so can be swapped around to suit your lighting preference.
-200w heater which is more than ample for the size
-High capacity, in cabinet canister filter with mature media. I think it is 3200lph
-2 x powerheads, one 3200 lph and one 800lph, both magnetic not suction cup. These cost over £100 each individually.
-I have found this to be the optimal setup for this tank, I need minimal water changes and the water is always crystal clear with perfect parameters. Canister filters being "nitrate factories" is a load of rubbish, take it from someone who knows and not the internet. I have never run a skimmer and never had any problems.
Tank inhabitants included
-Tiger pistol shrimp/Paradise Goby pair (both eating frozen mysis/brine)
-Cleaner Shrimp (pictured)
-variety of hermit crabs
-Sand sifting starfish
-Several large snails
-many small snails
Soft Corals included- large toadstool coral, several Xenia pulse colonies, green star polyps, various other soft coral colonies dotted about. All thriving and look amazing under the pink and blue lights.
Also around 20kg of fully cured and matured Fiji live rock and associated beneficial critters including copepods. All water included too and whatever spare ready mixed salt and RO water for evaporation top up as long as buyer brings containers to transfer or enough 25l jerry cans to swap us like for like. Will need around 4 for the tank water and 1 or 2 extra for any spare if you want it. Otherwise I can sell containers at £8 each. Transport is buyers responsibility, I reccomend plastic sealable food containers for the livestock as it is more durable and less stressful than a bag. And impenetrable to critters claws!! However the choice is yours, separate containers will be needed for crabs, goby/pistol pair, and snails/starfish/shrimp so 3 or 4 in total.
In summary, a complete nano reef ideal for beginners that is low maintainence, great starting point and way into the hobby. Everything you need to get started and beautiful creatures, no waiting for frustrating tank cycling!!
