He is a genuine wild caught specimen, not F1 or UK bred, hence why he has such strong colours and exaggerated fins compared to other Frontosa's you'll see.
I purchased 6 of these in a group about 7months ago. But 4 were females and 2 males, as i would like to breed these at some point i need to let one of the males go.
The Mpimbwe are commonly known as the friendliest and most active of the Frontosa's, mine are hardly ever still, are great fun to watch and will eat out of your hand!
(if your nerves can take a 10" cichlid approaching your hand!)
A absolutely amazing fish, in excellent condition and a wild version, caught in Lake Tanganyika and flown into the uk as a juvenile..
i am looking for £40 for him.
may possibly sell one of the females to go with him if someone is specifically after a pair.
any questions please email or you can ring me on 07940 110683. (Adrian)
Collection only.
