  Metal Halide Bulb instollation

Description: Hi,

I just bought two 1500 Watt Metal Halide bulbs, and wandering if it is ok to just plug them into a regular metal light fixture, or would I need a balast first?... Though I think balast is for starting it up, and for light bulb fixture I do not think there is a need for that? Anyways any help would be great. I will be using it for my Hard Coral Tank.
