Description:
Due to work commitments I am moving out of the country and unfortunately I will not be able to take my 1300 litre system with me. I designed it myself and built it last summer. I would be interested in talking with someone who would be keen to take it on. This is a complex system for people who are interested in a large marine aquarium and know the basics already.
The show tank is 2200mm long and split in to three sections: a main reef tank 1200mm plus two 500mm end sections for specials. It has a large sump to contain all the equipment.
In general it is designed to fit against a wall and stands 1000mm from front to back, so this is for a large room. The whole system is mounted on a very strong and roomy wooden frame and is hard piped in UPVC.
Some of the items included in the system:
3 halide and UV units - one for each tank zone
6 large internal power heads
13 individually valved supply inlets
4 main overflows
4 main circulation pumps (total >20 m3/hr)
4 ancilary pumps
in-sump filtration systems
external FX5 filtration system
2 protein large skimmers
1 chiller system
1 UV steriliser
1 redox controlled nitrate reductor
4 solenoid shut off safety valves
The sale price is not everything for me as I had a great deal of fun building it and running it. However, it must go to a good home. It would cost approx £5-6k to build so someone could pick up a monstrous bargain here. Convince me you'd look after it then we can discuss the rest. Don't under estimate how much work it would be to move it either.
As a final note, I will be de-stocking the system to a local aquarium shop as the dismantling of the tank, reassembly and maturation would be too lengthy. Transferring live rock could be arranged.
