Description:
Unusual shaped aquarium, see photos (at time of just being set up). Due to its height and width ratio it offers good viewing yet offering sufficient depth for the fish to have hiding places etc.
Featuring:
- easy removable dark oak hinging covers (3) with feeding trap door
- lighting (4x 24W) T5 fluorescent tubes with reflectors built in top part of the aquarium moveable on rails, easily removed in parts or in full to allow full access to aquarium interior
- aquarium with 12mm glass, external size: 850x780x480mm (HxWxD), internal water volume (not including lighting area) size: 765x760x455mm (264 liter)
- top and base trim alluminium with dark oak
- dark oak and grey cabinet with two doors and shelving on one side, dimensions: 605x855x530mm (HxWxD)
Has been, and still is being, used as a room temperature (no heating) set up with shrimp, Buenos Aires Tetras and White Cloud Minnows. I have to sadly sell due to job move to Midldle East.
I have added:
- thick base mat between cabinet and aquarium
- external ultra quiet Tetratec EX 1200 filter (manual present), fits in cabinet
- UV unit PondClear UV6 Advantage (manual present)
- air pump ultra quiet Tetratec APS 150, new as of 27 June 2010
- separate wheels (14 large castors each capable of carrying 34kg ) fixed to sturdy plateau upon which the cabinet and aquarium sits, this allows easy moving about when empty
- weight of the glass aquarium is about 88 kg (cabinet is about 46kg)
New price all in was £1500, all well maintained and component parts are at the most 1.5 years old. Will sell for £375 all in.
