Description:
This is a custom made 450 Litre aquarium made by Aquarium Connections,140 cm x 60 cm front to back x 50 cm tall, its 15mm optiwhite glass on the 3 viewable panels with a black vinyl background, its a braceless and rimless design with 2 ocean life overflows feeding into external overflow boxes that each have a twin stand pipe, this works well as there are no unsightly internal weirs. The return from the sump is split between 2 ocean life outlets on the back pane. The tank, cabinet & sump cost £3,500 when new.
The tank itself is not what i would call perfect condition but it is very good, it has a few minor scratches but as its low iron glass they can be polished out when the tank is empty. I have tried to take some pictures of the scratches but its not easy to get the camera to pick them up.
The sump is 3 foot long and comes with a large primary compartment and a smaller compartment for the return pump (not included), i do have a couple of baffles that i had to cut out to get my skimmer in and these would be included.
The cabinet is high gloss white with the 2 front doors being detachable, the cabinet doesn't have any major imperfections but the top sheet off the internal cabinet base does has some slight raising along the edge (about 1mm) its double based and not structural / visible when the doors are on / closed but i wanted to point that out.
I will include all pipework but there is no other equipment offered with the sale, all you would need to get this going are lights, water and a return pump.
The tank is in Basingstoke and if you want to view it running then you are welcome to come round and have a look at it.
I will be getting a replacement in around 17th June so i will be moving all my livestock to a holding tank a few days before that, naturally i want to keep the time in the holding tank to a minimum so i plan to empty this tank around a week before the new one arrives. the tank would need to be collected between 12th June to 15th June.
This tank is pretty heavy and will need 2 strong people to lift it.
This tank cost £3,500 new and even with some relatively minor imperfections its still a fantastic tank.
I have listed on ebay as an auction with a starting bid of 99p so it will be sold, i have put a Buy It Now price of £650 but i will listen to sensible offers.
