This koi feed has been formulated to maximise growth and colour, improve general health and disease resistance, and has added vegetable protein for year round use, plus a vitamin & mineral pre mix. A high performance, colour enhancing diet that is packed with the optimum level of highly digestible protein, to stimulate excellent growth while maintaining an aesthetically proportioned body shape. It also contains Spirulina and added Astaxanthin, two superior colour enhancers, combined to produce an ultimate colour enhancing Koi food. A high quality koi food for all seasons.
Immune booster:
Konomi ichi now contains "Beta-glucan" which stimulates the immune system. Harvard University, described the mode of action of beta-glucan as stimulating the immune system through receptors on the surface of certain cells, called macrophages that when activated, stimulate a cascade of events turning the body into "an arsenal of defence".

Betaine:
Konomi ichi also contains "Betaine" a quarternary ammonium compound that was first discovered in the juice of sugar beets (Beta vulgaris)
Betaine aids digestion and helps protect against fatty infiltration of the liver. The osmoprotective effect of betaine has been found to protect fish from the physiological stress induced by the transfer from fresh water to salt water, which Koi will encounter when ponds and quarantine systems are medicated with salt.
