for sale is a 8 inch x 6inch ziplock bag FULL of chaeto unlike other small amount sold on ebay or other place's. This chaeto is kept in my aquarium sump which is home to many livefoods such as copepods and amphipods which are great for fish and coral and also contains some mini brittlestars which are great scavengers and will feast upon fish waste and leftover food which gets carried down to the sump so you may even find some of the mentioned amoungst the chaeto which will be a added bonus...
chaeto is by far the best algae to keep in a marine aquarium filter system as it will keep nitrates (no3) and phosphates (po4) to a low level and in most case's at zero. Chaeto will NOT release these back into the system unlike caulerpa which will when it goes sexual, chaeto will not root down aswell so it is ok to keep in a dsb (deep sand bed).If given a good light source this will grow rapidly.My chaeto is grown under a enviro-light which house's a 6500k rating bulb, the light is on for 10 hours per day basically when my aquarium lights go off the chaeto light comes on also known as reverse lighting and doing this will help to keep you ph stable within the aquarium.
