They are excellent live food for broodstock, community tropicals (especially livebearers) and coldwater fish.
All cultures are guaranteed disease free and available all year round,
Each kit includes a supply of algae concentrate for feeding the daphnia and further culturing, full instructions are provided.
Daphnia magna grow to 6mm (Suitable for larger fish)
Daphnia pulex grow to 3mm (Suitable for smaller tropicals eg guppies)
Simocephalus vetulus grow to 4mm (water fleas with a benthic lifestyle, they dwell on the substrate making them ideal for catfish or foraging fish such as carp and goldfish)
Bosmina longirostis - 1mm, ideal for egglayer fry at the post rotifer and brine shrimp stage, or first food for livebearer fry. Similar to Moina, just as prolific.
